City Parks

The City of Staples owns and operates the following Parks and Recreation Facilities.  For a printable map of the parks, please visit the Map of All Parks page.

 

Dower Lake Recreation Area

Located 2 miles west of Staples on Thunder Road. One of a kind 612' fishing pier (new 2008), softball fields, frisbee golf course, basketball court, swimming beach, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, picnic shelter, 45 unit campground, and picnic areas.

Lincoln Park

Located at Nebraska Avenue and 4th Street SW, (313 Nebraska Ave SW) Lincoln Park has playground equipment, a basketball court, and picnic areas. 

Northern Pacific Park

Found at Iowa Ave and 6th St NE (610 6th St NE), Northern Pacific Park has a NEW Playground (Sponsored in part by the Host Lions Club), creek and bridge, picnic areas, and open space. 

Odden Park

Located 8th Street & Summit Avenue NE (810 8th St NE), Odden Park is a great place to stretch your legs and enjoy a picnic.

Pine Grove Park

Located on Pine Grove Road or 1 mile south of Staples on Highway 210 (1012 Pine Grove Rd), this park showcases a beautiful White and Red Pine forest along with two picnic shelters, playground, baseball field, horseshoe pits, picnic areas, ponds, and nature walking.

Veterans Park

Located along Highway 10 between 8th and 10th Street (820 US 10 E). Veterans Park is being constructed by the Staples All Veterans and Community Park Association. Features memorial pavers and benches, 80' flagpole, branch of service flags, many plans for the future.

Wilson Park

Wilson Park, located within Park Estates on Park Rd (111 Park Rd), offers a sand volleyball court, basketball court, picnic areas and playground equipment.
